ROBERT PARKER: 90/100 FOR MOSCADELLO DI MONTALCINO AURICO VILLA POGGIO SALVI

Our Late Harvest 2005 Aurico-Moscadello di Montalcino has received an eccellent review and rating from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.

It opens to a luminous golden color with pale amber highlights. On the nose, this silky dessert wine offers caramelized aromas of brown sugar and maple syrup that remind me vaguely of Vin Santo. However, Moscadello di Motalcino tends to deliver more grace and elegance. This wine is powerful with candied apricot and orange peel on the finish. (Monica Larner)
